test pattern image generator that provides basic video measurement
capabilities for a video capture/playback card in a PC equipped with a
Video for Windows compliant video capture/playback hardware. VScope
has been produced specifically to work with standard Video For Windows
compliant capture drivers and with any video capture/playback card that
provides standard Video for Windows drivers.
VScope can be used to measure and calibrate the video decoder and
encoder on a video capture/playback card as well as for generating
video test patterns for adjusting/calibrating other video equipment.
Special requirements: VScope requires a Video for Windows (VfW)
compliant video capture card/driver in order
to be fully utilized, but will run with limited
functionality if no video capture device is
present.

Jan 23, 2007 02:49:41 by an anonymous user This is old software, not designed for WinXP, which probably explains its slight instability. However, that said, it does what it says it should and is a useful tool for checking video waveforms and levels. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to register the full version of the software. When the trial version runs out it ceases to work and the links to the registration pages take you to Digilava's website where there is no registration page, although they do advertise the software. So far, emails to them have resulted in no response. Presumably Digital Media Works no longer exist - I can't find them anywhere on the web! |
