EditPlus is a text editor, HTML editor and programmers editor for Windows. While it can serve as a good Notepad replacement, it also offers many powerful features for Web page authors and programmers. Syntax highlighting for HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, Perl, C/C++, Java, JavaScript and VBScript. Seamless Web browser for previewing HTML pages, and FTP commands for uploading local files to FTP server. Other features include HTML toolbar, user tools, line number, ruler, URL highlighting, auto-completion, cliptext, column selection, powerful search and replace, multiple undo/redo, spell checker, customizable keyboard shortcuts, and more.

I work on Linux and Windows platforms, but even amongst test editor's available for Linux, EditPlus sets a standard for many to match. Its ease of use and feature packed package in a small size ( u can carry it on a floppy too) makes it a "must have" for any and every programmer. A simple yet powerful interface allows any coder to get their work done in an efficent way, without being obstructed by the obstacles inherent in many other editors.
EditPlus is as simple as Notepad with syntax highlighting for a beginner, but as users become more experienced, knowledge of the shortcut keys enables progression to becoming a true power user.
I have been using EditPlus for two years now, and could not recommend anything better. |
