DiskSurvey is a shareware MS-Windows application for surveying a disk's space usage. This program will scan a node (a drive or directory) and display the cumulative size of all files within that node and subnodes. The program will also display the file cumulative file count within that node and subnodes. The program will also display the contents of a chosen directory in a pie or bar graph so that the user can visualize how space is being utilized. This information is useful when determining what directories are taking up the most space on a drive. The information can also be used to determine how to best fit the data on backup media such as CD or DVD.
