It now serves as a directory lister which can be used as a replacement for the DIR command, as a file finder and as a file viewer (reader). Its main advantage is that it lists long directories in three columns of text instead of the one column used by the 'dir' command, yet showing the file sizes, which are usually quite important and are not shown by the 'dir /w' command.
