Installation and usage:
After installing to a IIS Virtual Folder, open Web.config from the Virtual folder and change the key conStr_def to point to your database. Please change other values if necessary.
open IE and type in as follows:
http://localhost/SQLIdl/SQLIdl.aspx
You would need to provide the correct virtual folder if you changed it during installation. Type in your SQL query and enjoy!!!
To install the command line utility, simply copy the two files SQL.exe and SQLIdl.ini to your workstation windows system32 folder, open SQLIdl.ini in notepad and provide the correct path to IIS.
Now just invoke run from Start Menu, type in your query as follows :
sql "select * from dept"
It is THAT simple!!!

It creates Transact-SQL script that re-creates the database from the scratch.
MSSQLRecovery is able to recover corrupted tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, etc. Both standard and user-defined data types recovery is supported. Also the software repairs damaged primary keys, unique key, indexes (including "IGNORE_DUP_KEY", "CLUSTERED", "STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE", "FILLFACTOR") and foreign keys.
MSSQLRecovery is able to process really large databases (actually, the corrupted file size is limited only by the file system specifications, e.g. FAT32 won't support files larger than 2Gb in size).

 | MDB View 1.0 | | MDB View is a very useful software that allows you to view mdb files on system without Microsoft Access installed. All you need are the MDAC 2.1 components or higher ( that you can get for free on Microsoft download page ).
MDB View will show you all tables included in the database, with all fields and records. You can see a detailed information for each record, and you can search for an element in the whole database. Then you can export all database tables, fields and records, both to external CSV (Comma Separated Values) and HTML files (with an editable CSS file). You can also open protected database if you know the password and you can view a database directly from the command line, making also possible the view of a database directly with the cd's autorun.
MDB View is freeware with a nag-screen that you can remove with a donation to the author. It runs on Windows 95/98/Me/Nt/2000/XP and its size allows you to bring it everywhere, even in a 720kb floppy disk. MDB View 1.0 is actually available only in English. |

 | LASsie (Light Application Security) for MS Access 4.1 | | LASsie (Light Application Security) is a Microsoft Access Add-In that enhances your Access application with a simplified user security system. Intended as an alternative to Access built-in security, LASsie offers a less complicated way to secure forms, reports, controls and certain records from unauthorized user access. With LASsie, you can prevent a user from opening specific forms/reports, restrict their ability to update data on a form, disable certain controls, filter certain records, all based on a user s assigned Security Level.
LASsie includes a friendly user sign-on form that prompts for a login user name and password. Users can change their own passwords via the included "change password" form. Optionally, the sign-on form can be bypassed and the user's network login username can be used. Once the user name is verified, his/her session is assigned a Security Level code that determines which forms or reports can be accessed, if data updates are allowed, and more.
LASsie is called "light" application security because it is not intended to be a robust, high-end security application. In fact, a sophisticated user could edit the underlying tables and change their own security level. By hiding the LASsie tables, and/or linking to them in an external, encrypted database, you could minimize the possibility of such potential breaches, but you should understand that we do not guarantee that such a breach will never occur. That being said, LASsie can serve quite well as an application security system where users are relatively unsophisticated, or where application data is not of a highly classified nature. |
