  | cslpkt05.zip - | | v0.54t. These TSR's drive a PC serial port using SLIP and CSLIP,
respectively (i.e. SLIP framing, with VJ TCP/IP header compression for
CSLPKT.) They provide a Class 1 (ethernet) interface with optional RARP
emulation, so Internet applications designed for ethernet can be used
with C/SLIP servers. Memory overhead is low: 2.6K for SLIP, 8.3K for
CSLIP. Documentation includes URL's for popular application programs.

  | comrg117.zip - | | can use standard null-modem or special cable allowing multi-computer
connection. With a pdipx adapter, you will be able to play games over
ComRing (some of them don't handle serial ports properly). This program
is not intended to work in Windows, probably unusable with modems.
Special requirements: Null-modem or ComRing cable.
Changes: Bugs fixed.
comrg117.zip has replaced comring.zip.

  | dosppp05.zip - | | DOS PPP v0.5 is a packet driver conforming to the FTP v1.09 packet driver
specification. It is based on the Linux PPP v2.2.0f code. A dialer is
included (chat) but you can also use separate dialers like Kermit (not
included). There are both class 1 (ethernet) and class 6 (serial line)
drivers included in the package. The class 1 supports BOOTP emulation
for easy configuration of DOS Internet applications that emits BOOTP
requests. PAP style authentication is supported for dealing with ISPs
that require it. The driver was designed with low memory requirements in
mind (59 Kb), for users who don't have UMBs. The code is compiled for
8088 CPU, so it must run in XT machines. The 16550A UART FIFO buffers
are enabled when available, so high modem-to-computer transfer speed can
be handled (up to 115200 bps). Hardware or software modem flow control
can be selected.
Special requirements: None.
Changes: First release.
