 | CmdEdit 3.21 | | A TSR (terminate & stay resident) utility that supplies full editing features to the DOS interface; stacks commands and drive/directory pairs for recall; supports definable symbols and variables, and programmable function-key definitions and macros; provides optional autocompletion of commands and (long) filenames; executable extensions and directories; and enables changing drives and directories simultaneously; brace expansion; and multiple commands on the one line. It can also display a color prompt. |
|
  | doskey.com 1.3b | | enhanced doskey.com with command, path and filename auto-completion |
|
  | F Keys 1.3 | | Programmable F keys for one keystroke Dos or Dos based commands. Each F key can be programmed with up to 68 keystrokes. This TSR (terminate and stay resident) program can easily be "removed" if you don't want it to stay in memory. It automatically becomes disabled when another program is in use so there are no conflicts using the F keys in a program. |

  | ddkey203.zip - | | DDKEY v2.03 is a key redefinition utility that runs as an 8k TSR
program. You can save and load key files, do pop-up editing of them at
any time, and define keys with an optional record mode. Vary the
definition buffer size for small or large needs. Turn the program on
and off instantly, toggle Capslock/Numlock in a macro, and set automatic
capitals at a sentence start. Pause within a macro, allow user input,
reassign and chain macros.
Other features include a 24-hour alarm, print screen to file, a screen
blanker, an ASCII table, and the ability to modify the cursor. The
program is customizable and includes the DVORAK keyboard layout. Can
run in color or monochrome modes. Not merely for writers, but for
architects, CAD projects, those dealing with medical or legal forms.
Special requirements: None.
Changes: Can now be loaded high in upper memory.

  | 7key.zip - | | which connects to the parallel port, useful for laptop, notebook and
wearable computer users, people with disabilities and simply people who
find conventional keyboards uncomfortable. Chording method of key input
allows for speed and precision of typing, greatly reduces chances of
carpal tunnel and other typing injury, and is much easier to learn than
it looks. DOS only, but drivers for other operating systems are in the
works. Free for any use except bundling with premade keyboards.
Special requirements: LPT1, may not work with some parallel port cards.

  | scncd500.zip - | | are in the middle of another program. It can be used to automatically
respond to input prompts, create macros, 'remap' the keyboard, allow
sticky-shifts, create menu systems, create screen-savers, or simply to
automatically type those annoying keystrokes some programs make you type
at the beginning or end of them. Scancode can type any key on the
keyboard, including things like <CapsLock>, <PrintScreen>, and
<Ctrl>-<Alt>-<Del>.
You control exactly when Scancode types. Timing options include waiting
for certain amounts of time (either absolute or relative), waiting for
certain strings of text to appear on (or disappear from) the screen,
waiting for the computer to be idle, or waiting for a signal from the
keyboard (or from another Scancode). You can also control how quickly
Scancode 'types' the keystrokes.
There can be several Scancodes in memory at the same time, each waiting
for different things to occur or typing different things at the same
time. There are Looping capabilities so that the same Scancode can keep
doing the same thing over and over again, and different Scancodes are
able to 'communicate' with each other. It is possible to have a small
series of inter-communicating Scancodes type thousands or even millions
of keystrokes for you automatically.
Special requirements: None.
Changes: Several new features, decreased memory requirements.

  | bpm-20.zip - | | programs. It will work from the DOS prompt as well as from application
programs such as Quicken, Word Perfect and AutoCAD to name a few. bP
Macro lets you define any key/combination as a 'hotkey' which initiates a
series of up to 255 recorded keystrokes. So for example you can define a
macro which automatically logs into your workstation whenever you press a
hotkey, such as [ALT]+[L]. Macros only occupy 432 to 944 bytes of memory
and can be uninstalled from memory.
Special requirements: Enhanced keyboard.
Changes: More keys in macro; ability to be removed from memory; more
flexible hotkeys.
