Txt2grx v1.0 is a simple program to help you with massive downloads from the Simtel.Net archive. Just make this program work on the list (simindex.txt) provided by Simtel.Net in the files simdos-l.zip, simwin-l.zip or simw95-l.zip (found in the 00_info directory of each collection) to get a .grx file that can be imported in GetRight v3.3.1 or later. Two perl scripts. d2h.pl converts simms.idx, simwn31.idx, and simw95.idx to html documents. i2h.pl converts DIRS.TXT (found in the msdos, win3, and win95 folders) to index.html. There is a DOS batch file called runme.bat that ftp's the .idx and DIRS.TXT files from ftp.simtel.net, unzips them, and runs the perl scripts. Special requirements: Unzip and perl. Freeware.
